Healthy Ramirez eyeing rebound

‘‘There’s no other place I want to be. We’ll see,’’ said Ramirez, who’s in the final guaranteed year of his contract, with a $16 million team option looming after this season. ‘‘I don’t know what they think. We’ll see what happens.’’

Of course, all these players want to play their entire careers (or to the end of their careers) with the team they are currently with. But it doesn't always work that way. I mean, look at LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. Plus college players who opt-out before they finish their education. And baseball players are notorious with doing this. Saying they want to stay with a team and then signing a contract with another team for more money. We'll see how it goes with Ramirez. I hope he has a great year and that he does opt to stay with the Cubs to the end of his career. Only time will tell.
